pasaulinės aviacijos sporto žaidynės statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Kompleksinės aviacijos sporto šakų varžybos, rengiamos kas 4 metai. Pirmą kartą vyko 1997 m. Turkijoje. Jų pasaulinių aviacijos sporto žaidynių programoje buvo aviamodeliuotojų, skraidyklių ir parasparnių, ultralengvųjų orlaivių pilotų, sklandytojų, skraidymo akrobatų, šilto oro balionų ir parašiutininkų varžybos (28 rungčių), kuriose dalyvavo daugiau kaip 3000 dalyvių iš 63 šalių. Pirmosiose pasaulinėse aviacijos sporto žaidynėse 14 rungčių varžybose dalyvavo ir 32 Lietuvos sportininkai. Antrosios pasaulinės aviacijos sporto žaidynės surengtos 2001 m.
